Our clinic provides dog and cat boarding as a service to our clients. All animals are kept in individual cages or runs. Dogs are let outside in our fenced backyard a minimum of twice daily (including Saturday and Sunday). All animals are fed Science Diet basic dry food unless you prefer to bring food from home. If your pet has special dietary needs or is finicky, please bring food from home, or you can purchase a variety of foods at our clinic. Blankets and rugs are provided for them to sleep on if you don't bring bedding from home. We can take care of dogs on medication (please bring labeled medications from home). Pets with extensive medication schedules or health problems will be considered special care boarders and additional fees may apply. Should your pet become ill while boarding, medical care will be provided. We will do our best to accommodate any special needs or requests. We encourage you to call and make a reservation for boarding, because we fill up quickly during holidays and summertime.
To protect all animals boarding, we require the following:
- Must be current on vaccinations (bring proof with you if we did not vaccinate your pet). This includes DHLPP and Rabies for dogs and FVRCP and Rabies for cats. We also require Bordetella vaccinations for dogs.
- Any animal coming to the clinic with an infestation of fleas or ticks will be treated at the owner's expense.
- Unaltered animals that are in heat or aggressive may be charged an additional fee for boarding.
- Special care boarding is available and recommended for geriatric pets or those with health problems or special needs. These boarders receive additional monitoring from the technicians and doctors.
We are happy to take care of your pet while you are away, and do our best to make their stay safe and comfortable. Please call us if you have further questions about boarding or if you want to make a reservation. You are also welcome to look at our facilities.
